Short version: we collect only what we need to help you, we don't sell your data, and if you ever want us to delete everything on file about you, email us and we will.
Who we are
LASIK International (lasikinternational.com) is operated by Scout Theory LLC, an Ohio-registered limited liability company with operational headquarters in Medellín, Colombia. Contact: andy@colombiamedical.co.
What we collect
When you submit a form
The information you voluntarily provide: your name, email address, procedure of interest, destination preferences, travel timeline, and any notes you include. This is submitted through a Google Apps Script endpoint and stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets and Gmail).
When you visit our site
Standard analytics data via Google Analytics 4: your approximate location (city-level), browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on site, and referring source. This data is anonymized and used to improve our content.
When you click WhatsApp links
Nothing happens on our side. WhatsApp links open your device's WhatsApp app or the WhatsApp web interface, at which point Meta Platforms Inc. governs the interaction under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- Form submissions: to respond to your inquiry, match you with appropriate clinics, and follow up on your case
- Analytics data: to understand what content is useful and improve the site
- Referral fees: if you complete a procedure at a clinic we referred you to, we may receive a referral fee — but we do not share personally identifiable information about you with the clinic beyond what you explicitly authorize
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
- We do not use your information for advertising retargeting.
- We do not share your medical information (prescription strength, prior surgeries) with anyone except the clinic you explicitly ask us to introduce you to.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics cookies for anonymous traffic measurement. You can block these in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
Third-party services we rely on
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Workspace — analytics, form storage, email
- WhatsApp (Meta) — messaging
- Cloudflare / VPS hosting — site delivery and security
Your rights
You can request that we delete all information we hold about you at any time. Email andy@colombiamedical.co with the subject "Data deletion" and we will confirm deletion within 7 days.
If you're an EU resident, you have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, portability). Same email applies.

Prices and clinic information are provided for comparison purposes only and may change without notice.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. For active correspondents, we'll notify you by email.
